¡Celebremos juntos! Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with hands-on activities from Museum Educators, docents and volunteers, and presentations by community artists and performers. All offerings are included with daily admission.  


CULTURAL DANCE PERFORMANCE

Enjoy a performance by Ometochtli Mexican Folk Dance celebrating Mexican culture through step and song.  

Performance from 1-1:30 p.m. in Uihlein Hall on the Second Floor. 


LOCAL ARTISAN SHOWCASE

Visit local artisans as they demonstrate their form of art and discuss its cultural significance!  

Located on the First Floor from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 

Repujado with Nostalgia Xicana 

Stop by and learn about the art of repujado—embossing on metal. Show off your artistic talents and give it a try yourself! 

Macramé with Nudos Rosas 

Observe Rosa Rodríguez of Nudos Rosas crafting a macramé (a form of textile produced using knotting) wallhanging.
