The Museum's Reference Library is a unique resource of over 100,000 volumes relating to natural and human history.
It also houses the Museum's archives.
The Library is open to researchers by appointment only. Those wishing to use the Library facilities must make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance of their visit.
Visitation hours are limited to weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The library staff will accommodate requests as scheduling permits. Visitors must check in with the Visitor Services desk in the lobby. Researchers who are coming to the Museum solely to use the Library and Archives are exempt from the Museum's admission fees.
