Milwaukee Public Museum Pick Your Poison Gala Breaks Records
Milwaukee—The Milwaukee Public Museum’s (MPM) 32nd Annual Gala, Pick Your Poison, wowed nearly 400 attendees and raised over $478,500, breaking the event’s records. The Gala, MPM’s premier fundraising event, was presented by Husch Blackwell LLP and PKWARE, Inc., and co-chaired by Angie and Eric Lenzen (Partner at Husch Blackwell LLP) and Cheri and Miller Newton (President & CEO at PKWARE, Inc.).
“It was a pleasure and honor to serve as co-chairs of the 2018 MPM Gala,” Cheri and Newton Miller said. “Great cities have great museums. We hold dear MPM’s mission to inspire curiosity, excite minds and preserve our world’s natural and cultural diversity.”
At the Gala, business, political and community leaders bid on auction items, saw poisonous specimens from our collections not currently on display, visited the new Frogs! exhibition and danced the night away to music by a live band.
The proceeds, which increased 41% over last two years, will be used to support MPM’s world-class exhibits, programming and educational opportunities and community outreach efforts.
Co-chairs Angie and Eric Lenzen echoed the Millers, “MPM is a civic treasure in Milwaukee and we are grateful for the opportunity to support it. MPM celebrates history and cherishes the past, but the future and evolution of MPM is most exciting.”
